How Tyler Goff Became One of Lars' First Clients, and Also One of His First Success Stories

Tyler Goff (Sioux Falls) began working with Lars nearly a year and a half ago, and he's been in the real estate business for 10 years. Up until four years ago Tyler was working as a single agent, and then teamed up with a partner to form a team. They were involved in another coaching program, and that is when they met Lars.

Around two years ago Tyler and his team were growing, but they didn't like the path that they were on. At the time, Lars didn't even have a coaching program, but they reached out they became Lars' real estate coaching 'guinea pigs'. After analyzing their business, Lars was able to recognize holes in it and provide ways to make certain parts more profitable so that Tyler could eventually step away from it. 

"We knew we needed to be doing those things but having someone like Lars, who we trusted, and who we knew had been through the same things before. We really trusted every piece of advice that he gave us."

Since coaching with Lars, Tyler has seen a big growth in sales and profitability. Tyler's business partner left the business one year ago, and Tyler hopes to do the same thing soon. By the end of this year, Tyler hopes he can remove himself from the listing side of the business.

Tyler knew how to sell homes, but he did not quite have the skills to run a business and make it profitable. That's where Lars came in and showed Tyler the systems that he needed to build a successful business. Tyler liked the fact that Lars knew exactly what it would take to get him to where he wanted to be, and he would also hold him accountable to reach his goals. 

When Tyler initially spoke with Lars, he had a lot of doubts about whether he could implement Lars' systems. Tyler didn't enjoy working nights and weekends, so Lars told him to stop scheduling appointments during those times, and Tyler eventually was able to stop working those evenings and spend more time with his family while also continuing to grow his business, sell more homes, and make more profit.

"We didn't know him (Lars) that well, but we knew that we could trust him, and that he would be honest with us and lead us down the right path. He's one of those guys that even without knowing him you know that he'll be upfront and honest with you."

Tyler recommends implementing Lars' systems and ideas into your business as quickly as possible, because the sooner you can do that, the sooner you can see the results. Tyler also added that it was not an easy thing to do when he started using the systems, but it was truly what was necessary. 

"The sooner that you take the advice that Lars gives you, the better off you will be."

Tyler wants to keep following the program so that he can eventually stop listing homes and have more time to spend with his family. For him, success doesn't stop at having a successful business, he wants to enjoy his life outside of work, too.
