What's the Secret to Personal Productivity?

Transcript:

Today, I explain personal productivity and how to maintain it. In order to establish high energy levels, you need to protect your health:

Your physiology is a huge part of your ability to be successful. This is the basis of Tony Robbins' "Pyramid of Mastery," which was hugely influential to me.Once I realized that without my health I have nothing, it changed everything.

Without your health you have nothing. Beyond that, if your energy levels are low or they swing during the day, your productivity will suffer.

You have a harder time focusing if your diet is poor or lacks energy-rich foods. Artificial sources of energy will not sustain you long term. If you're trying to make up for energy with coffee and 5-Hour Energy, that won't sustain you long-term and your productivity will suffer.

You must find a time block to work out for 30-45 minutes each day (5:30-6am is usually ideal). Plan your meals in advance.
  • Working out and getting your blood pumping is essential.
  • Smaller, nutrient-dense meals, more often throughout the day.
You must get 7-8 hours of sleep each night and drink at least a gallon of high-quality water each day. "Hydrate or die!" Brendon Burchard recommends up to 6 liters of water per day.

If you sit down to think about it, it's not difficult to up your personal productivity. It's just a matter of knowing what you need to do and making a action plan to accomplish it.
